Simian Mobile Disco Craft Latest Fabric Mix
For the 41st installment of their FABRICLIVE mix series, the folks at London club/label Fabric have roped in the lads of Simian Mobile Disco to piece together a disc's worth of their fave raves. Gathering 20 tunes from across the musical spectrum-- and a pair of SMD's own for kicks-- the eclectic set goes from Hercules and Love Affair to electronic music pioneer Raymond Scott in just a few short moves. It's due August 11 outside the U.S. and September 16 in it.
Of course, that's not the only long player on the way packed with Simian Mobile Disco mixes: Sample and Hold, featuring a handful of hot producers doing their things to tracks from Attack Decay Sustain Release, is due July 28 in the UK from Wichita. Simian Mobile Disco are currently in Japan, wrapping up their spring dates before their summer tour kicks off with a DJ set at the Nef Garden Party in Angouleme, France on July 18.
