The World According to Matthew

assignment 65

I woke up one day to find out that I was my mom. So I did the things my mom does in the morning. I went downstairs to make my cup coffee and to let the dogs out. Then I went back upstairs to read the Bible. Around nine o’clock, I woke up my children. I went to check my mail and see how much stuff needed to be done that day. But for a change there was nothing for me to do. Then I went to see if the kids were up. I told them to get dress and get in school because you had work to do. I sat down at my desk working on my to do list. Then I went got lunch at Taco Bell with my kids. Then we went grocery shopping. We went home and I told the kids to unload the car and put the grocery away because I needed to use the bathroom. Supper came around and my husband took us all out to Olive Garden because that is my favorite restaurant. Then we got home and I sat on the couch in my pjs working on the computer. Then I told the kids go to bed and gave them kisses before they went up. Then we brought the dogs in and we went to bed. Zzzzzzz…

“Well, it is this test that is coming up. It counts for half of my grade and I have a bad feeling.”

“And plus Rachel broke up with me last night. She said she wants to take a break.”

“Oh, I am so sorry, man. You don’t need her. There are plenty fish in the sea, you just need to go fishing.”

“Thanks, Joe, you helped out a lot. I feel a little better.”

“Hey, Maurice, you got to rember that life is like roller coaster. Just take it for your ride of your life.”

“Thanks, man. I'll talk to you later.”

“OK”

assignment 62

I followed a white rabbit into his hole. It was so weird. There were guns all over the wall. I sat there in shock. I thought to myself, "I did not see this in the movie."

Then the rabbit went through another hole and there his dinner hung from the ceiling of the room. I ran for my life after I saw what he was eating because it was so gross. Up out of the rabbit hole I went as far as I could from that bizarre white rabbit.

No, my family does not take spring break off but if they did we would probably stay home. But if I had chance to go anywhere for spring break it would be the beach. I love the beach. There is so much you can do there and I love the weather there.

I had I bought myself a Miami Ink hat and my dad thought that I was wasting my money. But he has like two hundred hats that he has collected over the years. My dad, my brother, and myself were like born with a hat on our heads. I like to get new ones and thought this was a good hat. That is what I bought that people might think is foolish but I like it and wear it all the time.

Assignment 57

The color green has been outlawed. Now everywhere you look trees are dead. Because the color green is forbidden all things that are green are dead. Only few trees are alive because they have different color leaves. Because of the low population of trees many people die due to lack of oxygen and CO2 poisoning. The person responsible for this dumb law has killed millions of people, even himself. That is what might happen to the world if the color green was outlawed.

“Hey sandwiches. What are you made out of today?” asked Larse curiously.

“Oh, just a little bit of ham, roast beef, turkey, and gazelle. Just what a growing lion needs.” replied the juicy sandwiches.

Then Larse sat very hungrily aand started to chow down on the well made sandwiches ignoring the screams for help.

Assignment 55

One day as I was falling from the sky. Some of my snowflake friends and I were planning  on being part of a snowball fight. But as we fell we saw that we were over a dock near a lake. We sat there for the longest time. Then someone came out and made us into a snowman. After we were built we sat there for about a month in the sun and rain. Parts of us were falling apart and into the lake. But we had a great time watching everyone play with the boats and jets skis. That was the best snow falling day ever.

The movie the day the earth stood still should be awarded Oscar. I think this way because the move is saying we should change our ways or we are going to kill earth. I don’t recommend this to young children that have not see or even hear about what is going on, because this movie feeds off that vibe. That is why I think the movie the day the earth stood still showed win Oscar.

Assignment 52

For Valentines I could write up some poems that have to do about this day. That would not cost any money. I could give out cards that were homemade. The gift to God is a tricky one. I could give Him my soul again and do what He wants me to do. I could talk to Him more often. These are some of the many things I could do without spending a dime.

Assignment 51

My dad was in the army and he told us stories about when they trained. My favorite two stories are the funniest ones I’ve heard. The first one is when the trained they would fire the machine gun. There was this small guy who was so light that when he shot that gun he bounced across the ground.

The second one is the story was about when they were trained to throw grenades, the guy pulled the pin and as he threw it he dropped it behind him. My dad picked it up and threw it because they trained with live grenades.

Those are the two stories that I enjoy hearing about my dad’s time in basic training. I enjoy listing to how he lived were when he was young.

Assigment 49

Martin Luther King had a great influence on President Obama’s life because he is the first black present. Martin Luther King had a dream that one day the world would work all together and the color of your skin would not matter. It is pretty sad it took until know for any one to step up. But it is a good thing they did it now in the 21st century. I think it took that long for the world to be ready. It is up to President Obama to make sure he does not make too many wrong actions. But Martin Luther King had a great influence on the world with his speech “I Have a Dream” and helping all people to reach for them.

Assignment 48

I went to a friend's house and slept over. We played the Wii and set up a tent. The next day we rode the golf cart through the woods to feed the neighbors dog and cat. We jumped on the trampoline and went bowling. I went home later on.

I went to my best friend's house to spend the night. We played the Nintendo Wii. I finally won once out of ten. We set up my backpack tent in the living room. It was the right size for both of us. We went on the internet and searched for great music for his playlist. The next day we rode the golf cart, which needed to be charged, carefully down the winding trail to feed his neighbor 's dogs.   We went bowling and I lost every game we played. We hung out on the big trampoline. I went home later that day.

Assignment 47

In 2008 I accomplished getting ranking all the way up to Eagle. I also volunteered in a whole lot of Boy Scout events, which helped with my ranking. I also made a lot of new friends that I can hang out with.

The goal for 2009 is getting my Eagle project, working the whole thing out then finishing it.  That way I can say that I finished my Eagle project. I'd also like to gett a job.  The things that are the same about the two goals is that they both have to do with Scouts. What is different is that I also want to get a job that pays money.

Assignment 44

Some of my favorite family traditions our family has are that we have deviled eggs for holiday lunches and pumpkin pie and apple pie for a dessert. Usually my grandparents come to or house but this year we just went to their place. We don’t have many Thanksgiving traditions. But for our B-days, besides getting presents we let the person who is having the birthday choose whatever they want to eat for dinner. We also let them choose what kind of cake they may want.    For Christmas my parent tell us to wait upstairs until they are ready and get everything ready. Then they let us come down.  We celebrate the spirit of giving even though my dad is the hardest person to find something to give.    Easter is usually some candy then church. That is it for holiday traditions but that is it okay. See you later.

Assignment 43

One sunny afternoon there were two moms and their kids going for a nice stroll through the wide-open field to smell the flowers. They were all dressed up to go to a festival in the middle of the field. They would have food, games, and friends and they needed to help out with the enjoyment of drinks. The kids looked forward to this because there was a stream in the middle of the field that they got to go swimming in. There would be story telling around the fire, and it would be a long time before they got back home. It would be called the celebration of the year. THE END
