The best news of the week is that I got a gig at Sundance film fest. This was going to be the first Sundance I would have missed in 6 years. But now, thanks to some luck, I'm back for the 7th year in

Ahhhhhhhh! The Eagles lost to the Saints, so the Philly Phellas were all down and out in New Orleans this past weekend, where the big game was played at the Superdome. I was crushed and Chris D won a double or nothing bet, so I missed out on $800 for the NFL season.

Despite all of these trials and tribulations, I still had to get on stage where the vibe was electric. New Orleans was fired up, so that got me fired up and we ended up having 2 hot shows at the House of Blues on Decatur Street.

Besides the music, the food in New Orleans was the best and I happily indulged in numerous plates of red beans and rice with smoked sausage, as well as oyster po' boys with plenty of Louisiana hot sauce.

Now I've got a double day off and I'm chilling at the beach with my girlfriend. I did, however, find the time to write and demo out a song for a National Geographic movie -- so I hope they like it. Regardless, it’s a killer tune called "Slip Sliding".

Tomorrow I'm off to Tulsa, Okla., -- now tell me I don't get around. Peace in the Middle East.

Well, I just checked into the luxurious Holiday Inn express in Tulsa, Okla. There has been a severe ice storm here, and it's not quite as nice looking as Miami, but duty calls and, me, I love to play. Tonight, the show at Cain's ballroom is back on after being canceled due to bad weather.

I had an early day of travel, which started at 6:30 a.m. in South Beach. After a salty flight attendant was repeatedly picking on me from Dallas, I arrived just in time to be stranded at the hotel before sound check.

It's all good. I just ran into some of the Matt Costa dudes in the elevator. It's real nice having these cats on tour -- good peeps, good music. The best news of the week is that I got a gig at Sundance film fest. This was going to be the first Sundance I would have missed in 6 years. But now, thanks to some luck, I'm back for the 7th year in a row. Tell the movie stars to get ready -- G. Love and Special Sauce are back! Peace in the Middle East.

Today I woke up in Kansas City, Mo. Due to the duties of my notorious profession, I had a radio hit that required me waking up at the ungodly hour of 11 a.m.

Now that might seem late-late-late to the rest of the world, but keep in mind we work the night shift... the late night shift.

Anyhow, it's all good I'm up and I'm headed to guest DJ on 'The Buzz' in KC.
