About the Indigenous Media Unit
The Indigenous Unit is staffed by a professional team of passionate and enthusiastic individuals. They're committed to two things: giving all Australians a place to learn about indigenous issues and giving indigenous Australians a chance to to speak their mind on the issues that concern them.
KARLA GRANT
This year Karla embarks on her seventh series as Presenter and Executive Producer of Living Black, SBS TV’s prime-time national indigenous current affairs program.
ANGELA BROWN
Supervising Producer.
KRIS FLANDERS
Living Black’s Video Journalist was born in Sydney with connections to the Gumbainggir and Bundjalung people of Northern NSW.
ANGELA BATES
Video Journalist Angela Bates came to Living Black in 2004.
EMMA COOK
Emma came to SBS in 2006 as a cadet.
TANI CROTTY
Tani Crotty comes to Living Black as a Video Journalist having worked extensively in commercial and public broadcasting in Australia, as a television reporter, producer, researcher, camera operator and editor.
JACINTA ISAACS
Jacinta joins Living Black this year as a well-travelled video journalist, having completed various projects in Cambodia, Thailand and Ecuador.
ALICE MULHERON
Alice joins Living Black as the program's researcher after completing a Master of Arts in Journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney.
FIONA MARTINELLI-SORIA
Fiona Martinelli-Soria comes to Living Black with 15 years experience in broadcasting.
CATHERINE STONE
Catherine brings a wide range of experience to the Living Black team.
ANGUS FORBES
Angus Forbes (aka Gus or ‘the G Man’) is Living Black's Series Editor.
