1897 Hart

This is my earliest steam car, built by Frederick Hart between 1895 and 1897.
First seen completely dismantled and purchased in March 2002
it has received a sympathetic rebuild
keeping as much of the original paint as possible.

Car number 1021 completely rebuilt some years ago including a new boiler.
Engine number 1902 which has been completely overhauled.

This very original Stanley EX car number 4036
once owned by Rev Ellis and featured in his book "Smogless Days"
Still going well, seen here being driven by my son Steven.

This Stanley H5 Gentlemans Speedy Roadster came to the UK in 2001.
Completely overhauled by Bill Rich.

This fantastic Stanley type 85 car number 6054
Three and a half years were spent researching and obtaining the parts for this vehicle
by a previous owner, through his friends in America and here in the U.K.

1924 Brooks Serial No:-26102

The only original Brooks in the U.K.
I first worked on this car in 1985 and have covered many miles over the years
reconditioning the components as needed.

1925 Brooks Serial No:-26141

One of the last Brooks steam cars to leave the factory.
fitted with a two seat touring body with dicky seats, awaiting restoration and re-fitting of body.
Body built by Murphy of Pasadena.

1924 Brooks Serial No:-26060

One of the first Brooks steam cars to leave the factory.
This complete chassis is due to be rebuilt at a later date.

1943 Keen Steamliner No:-1

This is the first Keen Steamliner, construction started in the early 1940's.
This car was also once owned by Rev Ellis and used as his every day transport.
I am working on it's full restoration now (see monthly workshop picture).

1919 Stanley Steamer 735B No:-19250

Completely restored in the early 1970's.
Always dry stored and only used for parades and local trips since it's restoration.
Purchased on description and pictures from Mr Charlie Luxmoore, late 2004.
Finally arrived on the 18th January 2005.

Rolls Royce built Palouse jet engine

To start this engine is unbelievably exciting
I think caused by standing so close as it winds up to 24,000 rpm at idle
and 36,000 rpm at full throttle.
