Princeton Review says Georgia Tech is One of the Toughest
It's not news to students or graduates, but the Princeton Review confirms that Georgia Tech is one of the nation's toughest schools.
"Each year, the Princeton Review surveys thousands of college students to get the inside word on what's going on at the nation's top 331 colleges," the Review says on its Web site. Tech is among the 10 schools that attracts students "whose noses stay pretty much glued to the grindstone."
The Web site's comments about the Georgia Institute of Technology:
"A 'damn hard' public school that is always 'very demanding' and 'at times very humbling.' 'Make no mistake; unless you’re Albert Einstein, Georgia Tech can be very intimidating,' warns an aerospace engineering major. 'This is a school that challenges any straight A student a high school can spit out,' and a historically low — but improving — percentage of first-year students never graduate."
Listed with Tech are the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States Coast Guard Academy, California Institute of Technology, Rice University, Carnegie Mellon University, United States Naval Academy, Swarthmore College, Grinnell College and Amherst College.
