My name is Andrés Guazzelli from Mar del Plata, Argentina. I’ve been studying music theory for 14 years and I started learning vocal technique and piano seven years ago. I’m one of those "psychotic fans" of Queen, who are always trying to know and learn as much as possible about it. I’m not used to collecting photos, magazines or posters, because all that stuff has hardly any value for me. What I’m really interested in is getting the biggest quantity of audio files possible.

I haven’t been a Queen fan since long ago. I got to know Queen in 1984, the year I was born, because in Argentina, after their visit in 1981, their music was listened to by many people. From those times, I remember 'I Want To Break Free', 'We Are The Champions', 'We Will Rock You', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Another One Bits The Dust', 'Radio Ga Ga', "Don’t Stop Me Now', and 'Love of My Life', which were the most popular themes back in those days. I became a true fan of Queen less than two years ago. On November 28, 2000, I asked a friend to lend me 'Killer Queen' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which were the themes that my other friends kept talking about. (It was obvious, I did not remember that those "Galileos" and "Mama mias" were from a song called Bohemian Rhapsody). After listening to Killer Queen, my mind could not stop thinking about it. I fell in love with that song, and of course , with Freddie Mercury’s voice. What really called my attention from that song (and made me love it), was Freddie’s phrase in falsetto: "Caviar and cigarettes, well versed in etiquette". I spent hours and hours listening to that part, with that particular sonority Fred’s falsetto has.

During these last two years, I‘ve committed myself to analyzing Queen’s music in depth, and as I have been singing since I was a little boy, I’ve been especially interested in Freddie Mercury’s voice. After a lot of research, hundreds and thousands of hours listening to Freddie and company, here we are, at present, creating a website about the incredible voice of Farookh Bulsara, A.K.A. Freddie Mercury.

This site has been created due to my urge to know a little bit more about Freddie, and to test my knowledge. I‘ve always wanted to know what his highest note was, as well as his lowest, his mid tone or his passage note. But I could never find it on Internet; and I thought that many people could be looking for this information as well. So that is how I came up with the idea of putting all my knowledge about Freddie Mercury’s phonation system at everybody’s disposal. Thus, The Voice: Freddy Mercury came into being. This is my personal tribute to one of my greatest idols, Freddie, so that other people can appreciate his art as well.

Quite some story, don’t you think?
