    Next Steps

Our planning application has now been submitted to Richmond Council. The application asks the Council to give us outline permission for rebuilding and improvements to the main school, and full permission for the staff housing. The Council will invite local people and organisations to comment on the application.

The Planning Application is supported by a range of reports, including an Environmental Statement, a Travel Plan (explaining how the School will manage car use and encourage other means of travelling to the School, for example by bus, cycle or on foot) and a Design and Access Statement.

Copies of the planning submission are available for viewing or purchase from Richmond Council. A copy of the non-Technical Summary of the Environmental Statement is available by clicking here.

We hope that our plans will be well received and gain support from the Council. Planning permission will be the subject of many planning 'conditions'. The conditions will require us to submit more information, particularly concerning the design of each new building. We expect to agree with the Council a set of 'parameters' that will limit the size and position of the new buildings.

The parameters will be based on the Masterplan set out on previous pages.

We explained on previous pages that the improvements to the School will take place over about 25 years. For each phase we will have to submit 'detailed' drawings of the buildings, and you will have an opportunity to comment on each project.
