The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) intends to create housing stock for giving on rental basis in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). MMRDA intends to construct residential complexes of self-contained tenements having 160 sq.ft. (14.86 sqm) carpet area each from the interested developers / NGOs with own land / development rights or on MMRDA land (at one or more locations in Mumbai Metropolitan Region). The complex will have all basic required infrastructures such as internal roads, SWD, sewer lines, water supply lines, electricity etc. All plans shall be got approved from MMRDA before starting the construction.
Expression of interest was invited from interested consultants to undertake these works eligible consultants have been empanelled for the Design, Engineering and Project Management Consultancy work of Roads, flyovers, Skywalks, Bridges, ROBs ,Mass housing.etc.
Invitation of Expression of interest from interested developers/NGO on their own land/ development rights has been invited for construction of the 160sqft tenements (minimum 500 tenements)I in MMR.
Modification to Development Control Regulations for Municipal Corporation's of Thane,Kalyan-Dombivali,Mira-Bhayander,Bhiwandi-Nizampur, and Special Planning Authority areas at Vasai-Virar subregion and Ambernath, Kulgaon, Badlapur & surrounding notified area, and Municipal Council of Panvel for Rental Housing Project undertaken by MMRDA.

Suggestions / objections invited to make a provision for rental housing project in the Development Control Regulations of Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Notification dated 26th November, 2008 on development of Rental Housing Project on any land in Urbanisable Zone-1 (U1) and Urbanisable Zone-2 (U2) within MMR situated within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region as defined in the MMRDA Act, 1974, but excluding the area under jurisdiction of Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation and Special Planning Authority (SPA) other than SPA under jurisdiction of MMRDA in MMR. |
