Privay Policy
On the Site
The logs of the webserver we use keep track of things like
the date and time of visits, the IP address and thus the
location of visitors, what pages were viewed and for how long,
and what websites visitors came from and continue on to. This
is standard internet practice and is aggregated into numbers; I
never see the details of any individual visitor. I think this
may use "cookies" --at least in part -- but if you object to
cookies, you can turn them off in your browser.
Email
My father, remembering what he had eaten during World War
II, once wrote:

Spam.
That is my feeling about unsolicited bulk email, and so my
email policy is very simple. I don't keep track of email or
email addresses in any sort of database other than my own email
archives which I take reasonable care of. I do use gmail and a
google-based email program which uses a gmail interface, so all
my correspondance may be in Google's records, I don't know for
how long.
If I start any kind of ezine or regular email newsletter for
this site, the records will be kept by the highly regarded
Aweber, and while I would have access to them, I already do
this on another website of mine and I don't keep a record
myself of the emails. It is easy and quick to unsubcribe from
Aweber lists.
Of course, I never sell or rent email addresses, yuck.
