Introduction

The Centre’s Advanced Laboratory Services Program enables physicians to develop evidence-based treatment strategies for patients with HIV and/or other viral diseases.

Research personnel include a full complement of scientific, technical and administrative staff. The Centre’s 2,000-sq.-foot laboratory is both CAP and CLIA accredited and is equipped with:

Two high capacity ABI automated DNA sequencers
A robotic nucleic acid extractor and ancillary equipment
Two biological safety cabinets
An HPLC
A tandem mass spectrometer.
