Community HIV/AIDS programs include: IDC Preceptorship Program A three month postgraduate program offered by the IDC for family physicians. The primary objective is to enhance skills in the care and treatment of patients with HIV/AIDS. Community Health and Safety Evaluation project (CHASE) Evaluation of the health impacts of the recently launched Downtown Eastside health and safety initiatives on local residents. Maximally Assisted Therapy and Daily Observed Therapy These programs are available at two sites in the Downtown Eastside for HIV-infected individuals who need added support in taking their antiretroviral medications. |
