Loks Land overview map Loks Land lies immediately off the southeastern tip of Baffin Island's Hall Peninsula; to the south lies the entrance into Frobisher Bay. The Hall Peninsula (at top-left in the above image) represents one of the major topographic features of eastern Bafifn Island. Its southeastern extremity terminates at the narrow Blunt Peninsula, across from which are located several large islands and several hundred smaller islets and rocks. The largest of these is known as Loks Land.

The 419 km² island measures 30 km in length (southwest to northeast) with a maximum width of 25 km. The interior of Loks Land can be divided into two distinct zones. The northern two thirds comprise a hilly upland region of low rounded hills that reach up to 300 m above sea level. The southern third of the island is lower and flatter, with much of terrain lying at an elevation of less than 50 m above sea level. Its coastline is highly indented by numerous bays and inlets creating an irregular outline.

Offshore are many smaller islands. Of these, the larger include: the Harper Islands, Tagliabure Island and Kittridge Island in the southeast, and Norris Island, Bear Island, Hall Island and Hudson Island in the northeast.
